Lala Khanian was born on January 13 in Tehran, Iran. She was raised in one of the biggest cities in Iran. Her parents were also born and raised in Iran. Lala, who was the oldest of three children, was raised in a family who had job and financial security. Since Lala was a child, she had a passion for acting. After living in Iran for sixteen years, Lala decided to move to Cypress to pursue a career in modeling and acting. Education was also a goal that Lala wanted to accomplish.

Lala was accepted in one of the most popular high schools in Cypress for Computer Major. She was very studious, and worked hard to receive her degree. While in Cypress, Lala was a cover model and became popular quickly. She was determined to accomplish her dreams. Therefore, Lala moved to Indianapolis where she received her bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems. After Indianapolis, Lala moved to New York and signed up with a modeling agency. Her goal of becoming an actress forced her to move to Los Angeles. Lala’s degree helped her get a steady job in, while she began taking acting classes to further her craft and passion. Throughout her stay in Los Angeles, Lala had been training with many top acting coaches at the most popular comedy schools.

Lala first attended Sanford Meisner School for Acting for two years where she learned Meisner method taught my Martin Barter. Then Lala became a member of the Sanford Meisner Center for the Art for a year. Afterward, she attended the Harvey Lembeck Comedy Workshop and Groundlings to study comedy improv and comedy techniques. Lala studied on camera techniques with Gerry Cousins. Later, she attended Brian Reise Acting Studio and studied with Brian Reise. Throughout her studies, Lala attended Improv Olympic up to Level 5. She studied under the instruction of Robert Dassie, James Grace, Dave Hill, and Shulie Cowen, only to name a few. After gaining experience and knowledge from these schools, Lala graduated from Sketch Comedy Writing Program and Improv Olympic West. She feels extremely lucky to have worked with John Hindman who motivated her to further her writing in sketch comedy. Lala appeared in “Sleeper Cell” for Showtime Network. She has also booked commercials, print ads, performed lead and supporting roles in independent films and pilots.

Currently, Lala is earning her second degree in Graphic Design. She is attending Art Institute of Hollywood, California. Lala is attending school part time, so she can pursue her acting career. While supporting herself with freelance graphic design work, Lala is also writing and performing at I0 West. She is also participating in “Cougars and Kittens” comedy competition. Lala is a woman with great aptitude and is determined to fulfill her aspirations.
